The Pertanika Journal of Quality of Life Studies (JQoLS) is an international, peer-reviewed journal published by UPM Press. The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for scholarly work on quality-of-life (QoL) and subjective well-being at the individual, community, and societal levels, with particular relevance to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

JQoLS publishes original research that contributes to theoretical development, empirical understanding, measurement, and policy-relevant insights in quality-of-life studies.

The journal was founded by the Department of Social and Development Sciences at the Faculty of Human Ecology, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The Pertanika Journal of Quality of Life Studies (JQoLS) invites original research articles and scientific brief reports that address quality-of-life and subjective well-being across diverse social, economic, environmental, health, and policy contexts.

Submissions are welcomed from all regions. While the journal highlights research grounded in Southeast Asian contexts, studies with clear international relevance are strongly encouraged.
