The Pertanika Journal of Quality of Life Studies (JQoLS) welcomes submissions from scholars whose work relates to quality of life, well-being, and the broader conditions that shape human, community, and societal life.
The journal publishes work that contributes to theoretical understanding, empirical evidence, methodological development, knowledge synthesis, or policy-relevant discussion. Manuscripts may focus directly on quality of life or subjective well-being, or examine wider issues with clear relevance to life quality, social conditions, sustainability, policy, or societal outcomes.

Editorial and Review Process
Submissions are evaluated based on relevance to the journal’s broad scope, scholarly merit and originality, clarity of contribution, methodological or analytical quality, conceptual clarity, quality of writing and presentation, and relevance to theory, research, policy, practice, or societal development.
All submissions are handled through ScholarOne Manuscripts and undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
Before Submission
make clear how the manuscript is relevant to quality of life, well-being, human experience, community life, social outcomes, sustainability, policy, or societal development;
state the research objective, question, argument, or review focus clearly;
follow the manuscript preparation requirements and APA Style, 7th edition;
include ethics, funding, conflict of interest, and AI use declarations where applicable;
submit an anonymised main manuscript and a separate title page for double-blind peer review.
There are no submission, review, or publication fees for authors.
