Author Checklist
Authors are expected to review the checklist below carefully before submitting a manuscript. Non-compliant submissions may be returned without review.
Manuscript Files
- The manuscript is prepared in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
- Two separate files are provided:
- A Title Page
- An anonymised Main Manuscript
Title Page
- The full manuscript title is provided.
- All authors’ names and institutional affiliations are correctly stated.
- The corresponding author’s contact details are included.
- A funding statement is provided, or “No funding” is stated.
- A conflict of interest statement is included, or “None declared” is stated.
Main Manuscript
- The manuscript is fully anonymised and contains no identifying information.
- The manuscript follows the required structure:
- Title
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Introduction / Study Background
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Declarations
- References
Abstract and Keywords
- The abstract is written as a single paragraph without subheadings.
- The abstract length complies with journal requirements.
- No more than five keywords are provided.
- One or two SDGs are specified.
Formatting and Style
- Times New Roman, 12-point font is used.
- The text is justified and page numbers are included.
- No footnotes or endnotes are used.
Tables, Figures, and References
- All tables and figures are cited in the text and placed after first mention.
- Tables are editable and not submitted as images.
- Figures are clear and appropriately labelled.
- References follow APA Style (7th edition) and include DOIs where available.
Ethics and Declarations
- Ethical approval and informed consent are stated, or exemption is clearly justified.
- Conflicts of interest and funding are disclosed.
- Use of generative AI tools, if applicable, is disclosed.
Cover Letter
- A cover letter is prepared.
- Three (3) suggested reviewers are provided with full contact details.
- Suggested reviewers are independent and free from conflicts of interest.
